The tranquillity and spirit of this place affects your body and soul in the best way. You can come to rest and focus on the really important things.

Our rooms are comfortable and cosy. In the enchanting monastery garden you can dangle your soul and enjoy the natural and cultural landscape of the Bregenzerwald.

We spoil you with regional and seasonal culinary delights. We are also pleased to serve at special occasions. The imagination knows no boundaries. For the very special atmosphere to relax we provide our gem, the “Deerofo”.

Due to hygiene (carpets in almost every room), we do not allow pets. We ask for your understanding!

If you stay three or more nights in the Bregenzerwald between May 1st and October 31st, you will receive the free guest card Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal. It applies to cable car rides, buses and outdoor pool visits. You will receive your personal guest card either by e-mail before your arrival or when you check in. The data required for the guest card (name, date of birth, e-mail address) are passed on to the card system. If you do not want this and do without the guest card, please let us know.

History

Monastic spirit in modern wrapping

Over more than 300 years the Capuchin order was located in the monastery Bezau. 1975 the last priest moved and the monastery almost got closed. After a lot of renovation three padres of the Franciscan order came and parts of the monastery were rebuilt to the modern hotel “Im Kloster Bezau”.

Architect Leopold Kaufmann designed from the open courtyard a beautiful hall for seminars, meetings, conferences or concerts. The completely inserted galleries and stairs connect together the floors and parts of the old building. The now tastefully and affectionate arranged rooms were the cells of the friars in the old days of the monastery.

„dr Deerofo“

A rarity: our „Deerofo“

Ten minutes away from the hotel “Im Kloster Bezau” is our treasure located, “dr Deerofo” (deeren = to dry something, ofo = oven), the house with history.

This barn was formely used by the whole village as a drying oven. With love and care we created a jewel out of it and are happy to present it to our guests and conference visitors. It can be used for a champagne reception, comfortable get-together, a torchlight walk or for a little timeout.

„Dr Deerofo“ is something very special with the atmosphere of passed times, a precious treasure to discover.
